Hello, I’m Colleen English, a trauma-informed certified coach (TICC) and trauma-informed group coach (TIGC). I support parents who are caregiving for children with rare diseases or complex medical needs, especially when life feels like too much, too often.
After fifteen years supporting caregivers’ practical needs in the nonprofit sector—and my own years as a caregiver to my daughter who lived with Rett Syndrome—I experienced firsthand how overwhelming it can be to juggle medical care, everyday life, and grief. Working with a life coach helped me find a bit of solid ground and a sense of agency in the middle of that chaos, and that is what drew me into trauma-informed coaching.
In my practice, there is no rush. Sessions offer a calm space where you can arrive as you are, speak honestly, and work within the realities of your life toward small, accessible next steps. Together, we use honest conversation and forward-focused exploration to clarify what matters most to you and to shape solutions that are realistic and supportive.
I work with people who have experienced trauma, but I am not a mental health provider. Our focus is on your present and future—how you want to respond to your circumstances now—while honoring the impact that trauma, grief, and ongoing stress can have on your body and nervous system.
